Limited Utility District
Anderson Mill Limited District was created 12/31/2008 at 12:01 AM as part of the Strategic Partnership Agreement(Tx. Local Govt. Code, Sec 43.0751) signed in 1998, and amended in 2004, between the City of Austin and the Anderson Mill Municipal Utility District. This agreement's goal was to allow for a relatively smooth transition into the inevitable annexation of Anderson Mill by the City of Austin. Copies of these documents are available on this site on the Limited District page. The Limited District was ratified and given taxing authority by an election of the voters in the District on May 9, 2009.
The District is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the residents and who must be District residents. There are 5 Directors elected to four year terms. The terms are staggered with 2 or 3 positions on the Board elected every 2 years. Elections will be held on the first Saturday in May, every two years.
